Kien Giang is located at the South extremity of the country. It shares a 54 km border with Cambodia, has 200km of coastline, and comprises 105 islands. The main ethnic groups in this area include the Kinh, Hoa, and Khmer. The annual average temperature varies between 27 and 27.5°C. Economic potentialities: limestone, rice, fishery.

Phu Quoc Island is a large island where tourists enjoy spending time throughout the year. Other famous sites include the Temple and Tomb of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc in Rach Gia, Tam Bao Pagoda, the Bird Sanctuary, Tan Hoi Pagoda, and Mac Cuu Tomb.

Rach Gia is 92km from Ha Tien, 116km from Cantho, 182km from Mytho, 250km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Air Connections with Phu Quoc Island, 30 minutes, and Ho Chi Minh City (via Phu Quoc), 2 hours. The Airport is at Rach Soi, 10km east of Rach Gia
Bus The stations is at 2 Tran Phu St., Tel: 863 271 and on Tran Quoc Tuan St., Tel: 862 718. Regular connections with Ho Chi Minh City’s Mien Tay terminal and Cantho, Long Xuyen and Ha Tien.
Boat Daily connections to Phu Quoc, ferry terminal on Nguyen Cong Tru St., Tel: 863 242
Mui Nai Ferry is at the end of Bach Dang St., daily boat departures to Camau, Chau Doc, Long Xuyen, and Tan Chau.
